Anthology and Class Technologies, Inc. signed a definitive agreement for Class Technologies to acquire Anthology’s Blackboard Collaborate virtual classroom tool on May 19, 2022. 

There will be no immediate impact to how UofSC uses Collaborate on a day-to-day basis. Faculty and students will continue to use Collaborate under the existing terms and conditions to support a seamless client experience and minimize disruptions. As the merger formalizes, the Division of IT will provide more information as it becomes available. The Learning Management System Advisory Committee will assess future developments and, through input from stakeholders, make recommendations for any needed future actions.
