The Division of Information Technology is proud to offer a variety of jobs to help students prepare for future careers in IT. We are interested in hiring students with strong customer service skills who want to earn invaluable work experience while still in college.

We hire USC students to work in the areas listed below. Students will acquire valuable work experience in IT, as indicated below. Please check Handshake to see what positions are currently available.

  • Enterprise Data Network (network and telephone systems)
    Students gain experience in basic enterprise data network troubleshooting such as access points, edge switching, cables, data jacks and telephones. They also assist with configuration and installation of network and telephone devices, systems alarm/notification monitoring, field work, ticket management systems, customer service, and more. 
  • IT Service Desk 
    Students provide technology support over the phone, in person, and in writing to faculty, staff, and other students. They troubleshoot and diagnose IT issues, resolve software, hardware, and network connection issues, install and update software, assist in resetting passwords, and more. Students also gain valuable customer service skills. 
  • Information Security and Digital Accessibility
    A number of student jobs are available within Information Security and Digital Accessibility. Students can help develop, implement, and maintain IT security capabilities, analyze and act on important security signals, identify accessibility gaps and needs, and much more. 
  • Research Computing
    Students gain experience using the Linux computing environment, Python and iPython programming and cluster job scheduling and management.
