The Division of Law Enforcement and Safety will introduce Alertus Desktop notifications on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022. Alertus is a desktop notification program that works with Carolina Alert. When a Carolina Alert is issued, a full screen alerts will appear on computer desktops. Users must acknowledge receipt of the alert before being able to navigate to previous locations on their machine. Alertus will be automatically installed to university-owned computers that are managed by the Division of Information Technology on Aug. 11. There is no action required by users.
