Email accounts are provided to active University of South Carolina students. Per university procedures, email accounts are deactivated one year after an undergraduate student takes their last class, or two years after a graduate student takes their last class. There was a delay in the retirement of student accounts due to a change in email platforms, therefore several alumni who graduated more than two years ago still have active email accounts. Now that university email has been completely transitioned to the new platform, the established deactivation procedures will be followed. Beginning November 1, 2020, email accounts of students who took their last class at the university more than 1-2 years ago will be deactivated. Please download any messages or documents you would like to keep prior to November 1. If you have questions, please contact the UofSC IT Service Desk at 803-777-1800.
