The Division of Information Technology offers numerous free technology resources for students all year long, ranging from free technology assistance to free software installation. Students are eligible to take advantage of these resources all year. Here are some tips for a successful year:
- For technology assistance, call the Service Desk at 803-777-1800 or visit sc.edu/ithelp.
The Service Desk hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
- The Carolina Tech Zone is a free walk-in service for students available Monday-Friday,
8 a.m.-6 p.m. Students are encouraged to come by as many times as they need during
the year for technology assistance. More information here.
- Use your Network Username and password to connect to the “uscstudent” network. This
is a secure, campus-wide WI-FI network.
- Students get Office 365 for free! Go to portal.office.com, log in with your UofSC credentials and hit install.
