About the program
The University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy Academic Fellowship is a 12-month program located in Columbia, S.C. that aims to develop highly proficient clinical academicians who will excel in all pillars of academia, including teaching, scholarship, and service. Graduates of this program will be qualified to seek full-time employment at a college/school of pharmacy. Clinical practice sites will be matched to the fellow’s area of interest or specialty (cardiology, infectious diseases, internal medicine, pediatrics). Fellows selected for the program will begin in July each year.

Dissect the fundamentals of academia, including but not limited to course coordination, committee involvement, tenure and promotion, and mentorship. -
Apply skills in scholarly activity through research experience and scholarly deliverables. -
Develop an appreciation of service through the University, College of Pharmacy, and professional organizations through active committee work and volunteerism. -
Establish teaching philosophy, style, and preceptorship through educational deliverables in the USC-COP curriculum. -
Manage and maintain an ambulatory clinical practice site while balancing concurrent academic responsibilities.

1-2 days of clinical practice per week -

Stipend: $54,000
Location: Columbia at USC College of PharmacyTimeline: 1 year duration with a target start date of July
