Core Facilities

The COBRE Center for Targeted Therapeutics supports three core facilities.

Functional Genomics

The CTT Functional Genomics Core, housed at the University of South Carolina, will advise and assist the investigators in the use of function-based genomics for target identification and validation, as well as with transcriptomic, genomic analysis and Microarray Core. Core directors are Igor Roninson and Kim Creek.


Synthetic Chemistry and Drug Discovery

The CTT Synthetic Chemistry and Drug Discovery Core is directed by Dr. Patrick Woster at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). This core will advise and assist the investigators with rational drug design, high-throughput screening and chemical synthesis.


Microscopy and Flow Cytometry

The CTT Microscopy and Flow Cytometry Core, housed at the University of South Carolina, will advise and assist the investigators with advanced microscopy and flow cytometry procedures, both on the main USC campus and at the School of Medicine Instrumentation Resource Facility (IRF). The core is directed by Dr. Robert Doran and Dr. Chang-uk Lim.
