Palmetto Experiential Education Partnership
The Palmetto Experiential Education Partnership creates a broad portfolio of experiential
opportunities for South Carolina pharmacy students while providing a streamlined experience
for preceptors.
Experiential education makes up approximately one-third of a student’s total pharmacy
education, and is the backbone of the Doctor of Pharmacy program. For students, the
fundamental goal of experiential education is to build professional judgment, technical
and practical skills. By participating as a preceptor, you demonstrate your commitment
to the profession and its growth by making an impact on future practitioners and leaders.
The experiential education programs at each of South Carolina's state colleges of
pharmacy collaborate through the Palmetto Experiential Education Partnership, or PEEP, The partnership capitalizes on each college’s strong network of alumni preceptors
and creates a broad portfolio of opportunities for South Carolina pharmacy students.
By becoming a preceptor for PEEP you will experience streamlined administrative processes
and will only need to provide your availability for the rotation year (May 1 - April
30) once through our shared rotation management system allowing you to work with student pharmacists
from any of the colleges.
