Nancy Roberts, Pharm.D., M.S. 
Program Director, KPIC Sterile Compounding Training

Nancy Roberts received her B.S. in Pharmacy from University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 1982.  She did an ASHP accredited Administrative/Clinical Hospital Pharmacy Residency at Richland Memorial Hospital in 1986-1987.  She attended graduate school at the University of South Carolina where she received her M.S. in Pharmacy Administration in 1991.  From 1988 – 1995 she was on the faculty of University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice where she developed, coordinated and taught hospital pharmacy practice labs. She returned to graduate school at the University of South Carolina and received her Pharm D. degree in 2000. 
 

Richard Capps, Pharm.D.
KPIC Master Instructor

Richard Capps is a Master Instructor for the Kennedy Pharmacy Innovation Center Sterile Compounding Training programs. He has over twenty-five years’ experience in pharmacy management and has been a Pharmacy Manager with the Greenville Health System since 2000. Richard is a graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. He received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy in Atlanta and completed an American Society of Health-system Pharmacy accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at Emory University Hospital. 
 

Carl Dunn, R.Ph. 
KPIC Master Instructor

Carl Dunn is a Master Instructor for the Kennedy Pharmacy Innovation Center Sterile Compounding Training programs. He graduated from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 1985 with a B.S. in Pharmacy. Of his 30-year pharmacy career, 25 have been focused on hospital pharmacy including work at four major local hospitals (Dorn VA Medical Center, Palmetto Health Baptist, Orangeburg Regional Medical Center, Providence Hospital, and Lexington Medical Center). 
 

Shay Garrison, R.Ph., MPH
KPIC Master Instructor

Shay Garrison is a Master Instructor for the Kennedy Pharmacy Innovation Center Sterile Compounding Training programs. He received a B.S. in Microbiology from Clemson University in 1978 and a B.S. in Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina School of Pharmacy in 1981. In addition, Shay received a Masters in Public Health Administration from the University of South Carolina in 1992. Shay has more than 30 years of experience in hospital pharmacy practice, the majority at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital. 
 

Herman William Watson, Jr., R.Ph.
KPIC Master Instructor

Herman Watson is a Master Instructor for the Kennedy Pharmacy Innovation Center Sterile Compounding Training programs.  He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1978 and a Masters of Business in 1987 from the University of South Carolina.  Herman has 40 years of experience in hospital pharmacy practice.  A majority of this experience comes from working at Dorn VA Medical Center where he retired.  
 

Eric Sparks
KPIC Master Instructor

Eric Sparks is a Master Instructor for the Kennedy Pharmacy Innovation Center Sterile Compounding Training programs.  He is the President of Bio Tech Balancing.  Eric is a United States Air Force veteran and certified metrologist with more than 20 years of experience in the certification, calibration and quality field. Eric has a vast knowledge of every aspect of a sterile environment in relation to certification and air balancing. 
 

Tenissa Ray, CPHT
KPIC Master Instructor

Tenissa Ray has been in pharmacy for over 10 years and received her pharmacy technician certification from Virginia College with honors. She has her B.S. in Health Care Administration from the University of Phoenix. Throughout her pharmacy career, she has acquired knowledge and experience in several aspects of pharmacy such as retail, long-term care, mail order, and currently hospital. Presently, Tenissa is the Competency and Education Pharmacy Technician Supervisor for Prisma Health System.
