What's your favorite thing about Columbia?
There are plenty of things I love about Columbia. My favorite thing about Columbia would have to be how beautiful the city is, especially at night.
What are your hobbies or things you like to do?
I love to pick up and try different hobbies whether it is learning how to crochet, or cooking. My absolute favorite thing to do would be building LEGO sets.
What has surprised you the most about Nursing school?
Coming into college and starting nursing school, I didn't expect the faculty to be so close-knit and supportive. As a nursing student I can tell that the faculty wants me to succeed and become the best nurse I can be.
What is an accomplishment in [college] that you are very proud of?
In college I have taken pride in my academics. I have made the Dean’s list every semester since starting here at USC.
Why did you choose USC?
I have lived in Columbia my whole life, so naturally I was always a gamecock fan. In addition to growing up as a gamecock fan, USC has a great nursing program which really sealed my decision to choose USC.
What advice would you give incoming students?
I would advise incoming students to stay on top of their academics, but also find ways to meet people and do things that you enjoy. College can be stressful for some, so it is important to do things that you enjoy and also prioritize your mental health.
