What's your favorite thing about Columbia?
I love how much there is to do in Columbia. There is always something new to explore whether it is a coffee shop, boutique, restaurant, walking trail, or study area.
What are your hobbies or things you like to do?
Outside of the classroom I am on the club swim team. Swimming has been a part of my life for 12 years and I am so lucky to be able to do it still in college.
What has surprised you the most about [Nursing] school?
How much knowledge you can gain so quickly. The professors in the nursing program at USC make it so you start learning nursing content in lower division, so you will not just be taking general education classes.
What is an accomplishment in college that you are very proud of?
I am proud of how well I was able to adapt to college and learn how to study. Because of this I was able to accomplish the GPA I aimed for after my year.
Why did you choose USC?
I chose USC because it gave me the balance of elite SEC sports, a prestigious nursing program, and a campus that makes living in a big city feel like home.
What advice would you give incoming students?
Prioritize school and work hard, but don't forget to go out, have fun, and hang out with friends.
