Join us on Sat., April 13, 6:30–9:00 p.m. for this very special evening
Over the past 27 years, the Friends of the School of Music have raised more than three-quarters of a million dollars for scholarship support for students of the School of Music. The Musical Feast has been a staple each year to raise those funds. This year we are reimaging the Feast by holding it at the Koger Center for the Arts and having a true moveable musical feast in place of a seated dinner, as in years past.
Guests can stroll through six different spaces within the Koger and experience a different musical performance in each space, performed by School of Music students, all while enjoying delicious food and drink. And there will be something for everyone as the students will be performing a wide range of music. For instance, on the first floor guests can enjoy a performance from Carolina Alive, or a performance from one of our Jazz Combos, or sit on the mainstage of the Koger for selections from our scholarship recipients. The second floor will feature a String Quartet and performances from Opera at USC. And in the main rehearsal hall, guests can feel the beat with performances from our Percussion Ensemble.
It will be an unforgettable evening with proceeds going to fund scholarships for our students. These scholarships make an incredible impact on our students’ academic lives and help them achieve their dreams of making a difference in the world through music.
We hope you will join us on Saturday, April 13, 6:30–9:00 p.m. for this very special evening and help us to keep the music playing for years to come.
