Find out if the USC School of Music is a good fit for you
Many of our current students learned about us by visiting the School of Music when they were in high school. They attended concerts, recitals and special events; met our talented faculty and students; and took tours of our impressive facilities and campus. That’s how they knew we were a good fit for them when it came time to make a decision about which college to attend.
We welcome your visit too, and will do all we can to help you plan informative, fun sessions to help you “audition” us!
Plan a successful trip to USC
If you can, visit us during the fall or spring semester weekdays when classes are in session. You will get the most realistic snapshot of what it’s like to be a student at USC. We sometimes schedule summer informational visits, but many students and faculty are away for the summer, performing, attending and teaching at special summer programs, working on projects, etc. You may not get a chance to meet faculty or students in your area if you visit during the summer, but we will do our best to help you get as much as you can out of your visit.
You may want to start with a campus tour. If you want to visit the School of Music also you can request a meeting with us when you make the tour appointment, or you can contact us directly after you set your tour appointment.
To make an appointment to visit the School of Music:
Undergraduates - call Philip Snyder, music admissions assistant, 803-777-4281 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Prospective graduate students - call Traci Hair, program coordinator for Graduate
Studies, at 803-777-4106 or email email@example.com.
If there are music faculty you would like to meet when you visit, send them an email and see if they may be able to accommodate a short meeting or a lesson with you.
