What does music have to do with the most talented defensive lineman on the planet?

#1 NFL draft pick spotted in music appreciation class

Jadeveon Clowney is an athletic marvel with raw explosive power and rare speed for his size. He's physically tough and battles through injuries. He knows the difference between notation, instrumentation, melody, harmony, tonality, rhythm and texture...wait, what?

Clowney's 6-foot-5, 266-pound frame couldn't be missed in Introduction to Music class (MUSC 110). His teacher, Joshua Wentz said, "He was a nice guy, participating in all the class activities, and he drew a wonderful correlation between a football team and an orchestra in one of his assignments."

Don't be surprised if you see Clowney at the opera when he's not on the field – he was detected at Opera at USC's production of Aaron Copland's "The Tender Land." MUSC 110 is a fine arts elective class for all non-music majors across campus.
