University Registrar

Degree and Enrollment Verification

Need to prove that you’re a student at the University of South Carolina or that you earned your degree? We have a few different ways we can help.

National Student Clearinghouse

The National Student Clearinghouse reports student enrollment and degree information as an authorized agent for the University of South Carolina. Participating guarantors, lenders or service providers will usually not require an individual enrollment verification letter from the university.

Enrollment Verification

Current Students

Current students can access their Myhub account through their my.sc.edu account. Click on ‘Official Record Request’ and then ‘Enrollment Verification’.

Former Students and Alumni

Former students and alumni can access their Myhub account online and creating an account using either their Linkedin or Google account.

If you have additional questions, you may contact the Office of the University Registrar by email or phone at 803-777-5555.

Third Parties

The National Student Clearinghouse provides enrollment verification to third parties through their web portal. You may also reach the National Student Clearinghouse by phone at 703-742-4200.

Degree Verification

Current Degree Candidates

To check the status of a degree being posted, students should view their Academic Transcript in my.sc.edu (choose Grades tab, then Advising Transcript Unofficial). Once you have checked the status of your degree and it has been awarded, you may request your official transcript for degree verification purposes.

Alumni

Alumni who require degree verification should request an official transcript.

Third Parties

University of South Carolina has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide degree verifications. They can be contacted through their web portal or by phone at 703-742-4200.
