Background

As a pharmacy resident at Prisma Health Richland, Karen McGee, Pharm.D., established clinical pharmacy services in 1990 for Palmetto SeniorCare, a PACE, long-term care option for frail elders in South Carolina's midlands region. Dr. McGee's passion for elder care extends to the classroom where she teaches students about medication use in the elderly. She was named Teacher of the Year in 2000. 

Dr. McGee also serves as an adjunct instructor for the Univerrsity of South Carolina School of Medicine where she teaches medical school students about medication use in the elderly. She is a certified Diabetes Educator and Geriatric Pharmacist.
