Young Musician Piano Study

The Young Musician Piano Study program is ideal for K5 students and older who thrive in a more individualized learning environment.

Private Piano Lessons for K5 Students and Above

In this program of study, students learn reading, repertoire and musicianship throughout the academic year. A wide variety of repertoire can be learned, from popular to Classical music, uniquely designed to suit the needs and desires of the student. Per academic year, students participate in two pre-recital repertoire classes, two semester recitals, and may also participate in CMTA Achievement Day.

  • Weekly 30, 45, or 60-minute private lessons
  • Two repertoire classes, two recitals, one festival
  • Students with prior study may transfer into the program, pending an interview to ensure correct placement. As the student progresses, teachers may recommend lengthening lessons.

Student piano requirement: Acoustic piano (preferred) or 88-key digital piano with stand and bench
Practice requirement: 30 to 45 minutes a day, 4-5 days a week
Students are encouraged to take at least six summer lessons or enroll in summer camp.
