Originally from the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Kevin moved to Columbia, South Carolina in 2017 after living in various parts of North Carolina, Washington, New York and even a brief time in Mexico.  Kevin's passion for international education amplified significantly in college, as he was able to study Spanish in Querétaro, Mexico for a summer long experience during the 2010 FIFA World Cup.  He doesn't play as often as he did, but now you can find him playing kickball and volleyball in the area just for fun; walking his labradoodle Brooklyn near the Saluda River; or renovating his house.

For additional fun you can also find Kevin chasing after another graduate degree and serving as the treasurer to his homeowner’s association and as a landlord to his first rental property.  Given all these years spent exploring his many interests, they have all led Kevin to a fulfilling career in higher education.  Kevin loves working with students, and has been doing so since 2009.  Never did he suspect that he, a first generation college student, would ever work in a college setting, and thus enjoy the mentorship and engagement that goes along with helping prepare our next generation of leaders.
