Brew Better Coffee

In “Brew Better Coffee,” attendees will learn about the history of coffee, its utility in various cultures, and how to buy, grind, and brew the best possible coffee at home.

This Carolina Classroom course will showcase locally roasted coffee beans from Loveland Coffee Roasters in Irmo, SC. .

Attendees will learn about roast levels, flavor notes, and how to perfect the three most common brewing methods: French press, filter pour-over, and espresso. Further, attendees will have the opportunity to taste and enjoy various coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, Cubanos, and flat whites.

The course will also include a live brewing demonstration and tasting session for each of the brewing methods. During the demonstration, students will learn the processes, instructions, and tweaks to enjoy their own specialty coffee at home.

This course is perfect for those looking to find a new hobby or simply take a step up from their typical supermarket coffee.

The course will last for approximately two hours and will be offered on Wednesday, January 29 at 6:00 p.m. The course will meet in classroom 583 of the Close-Hipp building.
