Background
Alexander Chumanevich received his Ph.D. in Chemistry/Biochemistry from the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry National Academy of Sciences in Minsk, Belarus, in March 2000. His doctoral thesis was titled, "Folding, stability and activity of a single-chain Fv fragment and monoclonal anti-ferritin antibodies."
Research Interests
The scope of Dr. Chumanevich's work is understanding the role of diet, complementary and alternative medicines, and small-molecule drugs in suppressing low-grade tissue-specific and systemic inflammation to prevent colorectal cancer. His research focuses on discerning dietary ingredients' pro-inflammatory versus anti-inflammatory properties and their implications for policy and individual health.
