The Maritime Research Division will be demonstrating their survey capabilities on board their boat. Come see demonstrations of how the team collects sonar and magnetic data and how they use that data to further their mission of protecting South Carolina's maritime cultural heritage.
Our Artifact Identification Workshop consists of a mixture of lectures and hands-on activities designed to help identify a variety of artifacts found in South Carolina.
This course is offered in two parts. It is designed for any sport diver who wants the chance to get more involved with underwater archaeology.
The Maritime Research Division is available to give lectures, presentations, and programs to your group on a variety of topics related to South Carolina maritime archaeological heritage.
The Division often has a number of small exhibits in museums around the state regarding our research.
The Division prides itself on our research and education and outreach. MRD is often asked to share that information with both the professional and avocational world.
