David Beek (CPLT Phd Program) gets Fulbright Award for research in Brazil

David Beek, CPLT Ph.D., has received a Fullbright Award to do research in Brazil next Spring of 2020. Under the direction of Dr. Vanessa Riambau at the Federal University of Paraíba in João Pessoa, David will be researching contemporary afro-Brazilian literature from "the Northeast" region, considering its diasporic connections to African American cultural production from the United States. Congratulations David!
