SCHOOL OF MUSIC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The School of Music Executive Committee is elected by the Music Faculty and advises the Dean concerning all substantive matters related to the School of Music. The Dean and the Associate Dean for DEI will act as ex officio; with other Associate Deans serving when the agenda requires their participation.
Election Process:
At the first Faculty Meeting in the Fall semester, voting faculty members select four faculty members on the following rotation:
Odd Year (academic year ending date) 2024-2025, Faculty will vote for:
· 1 Assistant Professor, one-year term
· 1 At-Large (Associate or Full), one-year term
· 1 Full Professor, two-year term
· No election for Associate Professor unless elected as At-Large
Even Year (academic year ending date) 2025-2026, Faculty will vote for:
· 1 Assistant Professor, one-year term
· 1 At-Large (Associate or Full), one-year term
· 1 Associate Professor, two-year term
· No election for Full Professor unless elected as At-Large
This rotation allows for continuity on the committee, with a Full or Associate Professor rotating for a second year.
Membership on the Executive Committee does not preclude serving on other University or School of Music committees.
