USC Aiken School of Nursing at USC Sumter

Master’s degree in Nursing and 2 years of experience in a clinical setting. The Nurse Administrator will establish, direct, and oversee the BSN Program at the Sumter Campus in collaboration with the administration of the Sumter Campus and USC Aiken. Specific required duties will include: planning, developing, and collaborating with clinical facilities in the Sumter service area to secure contracts for student clinical placements in all required concentrations for the BSN program; serving as the academic advisor to all students in the BSN program and as main Point of Contact for all students expressing interest in applying to the program; maintaining an effective communications program with all institutional personnel in all matters relating to the BSN program at USC Sumter; developing and implementing the BSN program each term to set course and clinical schedules; designing and developing promotional and marketing messaging in collaboration with USC Sumter Marketing and Admissions/Recruitment Offices to promote the program to potential students in the Sumter Campus service area. Other duties may also include instruction of major and non-major area courses.  This 12-month position is based on the USC Sumter campus. Salary commensurate with experience.

Band 5, $33,494 per year. USC Sumter

Bachelor’s degree in related field; or equivalency.  This position will serve as the USC Sumter IT Help Desk technician. The responsibilities of this position are to assist in the day-to-day operations of all aspects of Information Technology for USC Sumter. Provide technical services, troubleshoot problems, and aid users. Provide on-site support for Palmetto College two-way video courses. Knowledge of personal computer hardware and network hardware/troubleshooting is required and experience with Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems, Windows Deployment Services, Video Conferencing Equipment desired. Reports to the Director of Information Technology.

USC Aiken School of Education at USC Sumter

Master’s degree in education with PK-12 teaching experience required, Ph.D. in same is preferred.  Demonstrated effective teaching experience with diverse populations, collaborative and applied research in school settings, and demonstrated or emerging record of professional publication preferred.  Responsibilities include coordinating the University of South Carolina Aiken teacher education program on the USC Sumter campus. Includes recruitment of potential students, advising and mentoring of current students, scheduling classes, identifying adjunct instructors, and coordinating field experience placements. In addition, the role includes field based supervision of teacher candidates; ongoing university and community service; the possibility of teaching courses in the teacher education program; and sustained scholarly activity.  Experience working in a PDS setting and/or with technology integration preferred. This 12-month position is based on the USC Sumter campus. Salary commensurate with experience.

USC Sumter is located in the heart of the state, about 45 miles east of the capital of Columbia, South Carolina. USC Sumter became a University campus in 1973 and today has an enrollment of about 1,000 per academic year. USC Sumter confers two-year associate's degrees and offers baccalaureate degree programs in business and education through USC Aiken.

Band 5, USC Sumter 

The Admissions Counselor represents the University of South Carolina Sumter as a recruiter and counselor for prospective students and serve as a point-of-contact for the Office of Admissions Services. The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling students from assigned high schools, other venues and associated activities.  Applicants with sales, marketing, and customer relationship management experience are encouraged to apply.  Travel within the state of South Carolina will be expected as needed. Masters degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience. Ability to work evenings & weekends, a valid driver’s license and knowledge of student services in higher education is required.  Background experience in admissions, public relations, sales experience or other student personnel area desired. Preference will be given to those who currently live in the existing geographic market and have knowledge of the local secondary schools.
