Student Services Program Coordinator II (Admissions Counselor), Band 5, USC Sumter. The Admissions Counselor represents the University of South Carolina Sumter to traditional and nontraditional prospective students, as well as their parents, and high school guidance counselors and administrators. The position is located at the University of South Carolina Sumter and covers an assigned geographic region in the state of South Carolina. Travel within the state of South Carolina will be expected as needed. Masters degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience. Ability to work evenings & weekends, a valid driver’s license and knowledge of student services in higher education is required.  Background experience in admissions, public relations, sales experience or other student personnel area desired. Preference will be given to those who currently live in the existing geographic market and have knowledge of the local secondary schools. Minimum Salary: $32,838.

Public Information Director I (Director of Marketing and Public Relations), Band 6, $46,259 per year. USC Sumter.  Reports directly to the campus dean and requires a Bachelor’s degree and 6 years professional experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material, or equivalency.  The Director of Marketing and Public Relations is a key member of the University Advancement team and manages all marketing and advertising functions.  Qualifications include: demonstrated expertise in computer software required for production of publications and advertising; ability to communicate effectively; coordinate and manage the dissemination of news and information concerning USC Sumter; approve and assist in the design and production of all circulated brochures, pamphlets, posters, and printed material concerning university programs; and serve as campus Web Master and photographer.
