    Current Postings

    USC Sumter invites applications for a full-time Instructor of Music to begin August 2021.  A Master’s degree in Music with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Music is required at the time of appointment.  Applicants with PhDs encouraged to apply. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching is required.  The successful candidate should be able to teach introductory music (Music 110) and other Music classes as needed.  The teaching load will be twelve contact hours per semester, on/off campus; possible evening and online classes.  Student advising, mentoring and participation on campus committees are expected.  

    Review of credentials will begin March 2021 and will continue until the position is filled.

     Student Services Program Coordinator II (Regional Admissions Representative), $33,494 per year minimum, USC Sumter.  The Regional Admissions Representative is responsible for growing enrollment in USC Palmetto College online degree completion programs through active recruitment activities within a designated service area. The successful candidate for this position will serve as the primary contact for the Palmetto College (PC) online degree programs. Duties will include recruiting prospective students into USC Palmetto College degree completion programs from an assigned campus and geographic region of South Carolina and serving as a liaison for prospective students through the admissions process and conduct all activities in accordance with the highest ethical standards and adhere to all state and federal accreditation requirements, as well as the rules and regulations regarding student recruitment set forth by the University and Palmetto College. Masters degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience. Must also possess the ability to work with others in a team environment and have strong communication skills. Traveling within assigned geographic region and to Columbia, South Carolina for student recruitment and professional development/ training events is required. Background experience in admissions, public relations, sales, or another student personnel area desired. Preference will be given to those who currently live in the existing geographic market and have knowledge of the local businesses and secondary schools.  Evening and weekend work along with a valid driver’s license is required.
