    Program Coordinator of Student Support Services (TRIO Opportunity Scholars Program), Band 5. USC Sumter.  Temporary Grant-Funded Position.   The Program Coordinator for Student Support Services performs professional duties in a student services program. The program coordinator will be responsible for program management, project development and implementation, student counseling and assessment, data collection, analysis, and reporting. The program coordinator reports to the Director of TRIO Programs. Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills, and have the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks.  Position contingent upon continued grant funding.  Masters degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience.     Public Information Director I (Director of Marketing and Public Relations), Band 6, $48,362 per year. USC Sumter.  Reports directly to the Campus Dean and requires a Bachelor’s degree and 6 years professional experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material, or equivalency.  The Director of Marketing and Public Relations is a key member of the University leadership team and manages all marketing and public relations functions.  To qualify, candidate must:  demonstrate expertise in computer software required for production of publications and advertising (Adobe); demonstrate exceptional ability to communicate effectively; and have a record of success in Marketing and Public Relations and working with a team to meet objectives.  The Director will:

     

    • Create content, manage the scheduling of posts, and track social media data on all platforms.
    • Work directly with the Assistant Dean of Admissions to create effective communications plans for each stage of the admissions cycle. (Salesforce and Target X experience preferred).
    • Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan based on current market trends.
    • Manage third-party marketing relationships and proactively seek opportunities for additional partnerships.
    • Track and report Google Analytics for website and digital marketing effectiveness.
    • Coordinate and manage the dissemination of news and information concerning USC Sumter
    • Approve and assist in the design and production of all circulated brochures, pamphlets, posters, and printed material concerning university programs
    • Serve as campus Web Master and photographer.

    Master’s degree in education with PK-12 teaching experience required, Ph.D. in same is preferred.  Demonstrated effective teaching experience with diverse populations. Responsibilities include coordinating the University of South Carolina Aiken teacher education program on the USC Sumter campus. Includes: recruitment of potential students; advising and mentoring of current students; supporting and continuing current initiatives including Teacher Cadet, Call Me MiSTER, and the Professional Development School partnership with Millwood Elementary school; scheduling classes; identifying and mentoring adjunct instructors; and coordinating field experience placements. In addition, the role includes field based supervision of teacher candidates; ongoing university and community service; the possibility of teaching courses in the teacher education program.  Experience working in a PDS setting and/or with technology integration preferred. This 12-month position is based on the USC Sumter campus. Salary commensurate with experience.

USC Sumter became a University campus in 1973 and today has an enrollment of about 1,000 per academic year. USC Sumter confers two-year associate's degrees and offers baccalaureate degree programs in business and education through USC Aiken.
