USC Aiken School of Nursing at USC Sumter

Master’s degree in Nursing and 2 years of experience in a clinical setting. The Nurse Administrator will establish, direct, and oversee the BSN Program at the Sumter Campus in collaboration with the administration of the Sumter Campus and USC Aiken. Specific required duties will include: planning, developing, and collaborating with clinical facilities in the Sumter service area to secure contracts for student clinical placements in all required concentrations for the BSN program; serving as the academic advisor to all students in the BSN program and as main Point of Contact for all students expressing interest in applying to the program; maintaining an effective communications program with all institutional personnel in all matters relating to the BSN program at USC Sumter; developing and implementing the BSN program each term to set course and clinical schedules; designing and developing promotional and marketing messaging in collaboration with USC Sumter Marketing and Admissions/Recruitment Offices to promote the program to potential students in the Sumter Campus service area. Other duties may also include instruction of major and non-major area courses.  This 12-month position is based on the USC Sumter campus. Salary commensurate with experience.

The University of South Carolina Sumter is seeking applications for the position of Executive Director of Enrollment Management Services.  USC Sumter is one of four Palmetto College regional campuses with the University of South Carolina and serves a five-county area in central South Carolina. USC Sumter delivers courses, degrees, and services that enhance employment and cultural opportunities through the efforts of a faculty committed to high-quality teaching, scholarship, and service. The University is seeking an individual who can lead an enrollment management team that cultivates strong relationships with a diverse prospective student population, leading to a larger, more successful student body for the campus. The successful candidate must develop and oversee implementation of admissions, recruitment, financial aid, student retention, career services, enrollment data analytics and dual enrollment programs.  The candidate must also promote educational opportunities for active duty military personnel, veterans and dependents at nearby Shaw Air Force Base, and fully engage our campus in Palmetto College-the USC System initiative to deliver high-quality, online bachelor’s degrees across the state.

As chief enrollment officer for the campus, the Executive Director is responsible for the execution of strategies within the enrollment management plan, the coaching and mentoring of the enrollment management staff, identifying new programs and offerings with high demand and have current, working knowledge of best practice recruitment strategies, including the use of client relationship management (CRM) technology. In addition, the Executive Director will perform community outreach and public relations duties in concert with the Dean and Executive Associate Dean for the campus.  

The Executive Director will ensure that USC Sumter meets its enrollment and student success goals and delivers positive, student-centered services to all prospective and current students for USC Sumter.

The Executive Director of Enrollment Management Services reports to Executive Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs of USC Sumter.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and 7 years relevant experience in business, public administration or administrative services; or bachelor’s degree and 9 years relevant experience in business, public administration or administrative services.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and use data-analytics and predictive modeling to enhance enrollment management initiatives.
  • Leadership experience in enrollment management, with emphasis in Admissions;
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of recruitment strategies, including CRM;
  • Experience developing new programs and partnerships with various organizations;
  • Understanding of financial aid rules and regulations for public higher education.
  • The ability to drive change in a complex environment, and to deliver results despite obstacles and challenges.
  • Experience with Banner, Salesforce and TargetX

Desired qualifications:

  • Five or more years of enrollment management leadership and supervision;
  • Evidence of leading change within an institution of higher education;
  • Understanding and success with business development;
  • Understanding of effective marketing strategies and campaigns within higher education;
  • A willingness to live in Sumter County and a substantial commitment to community service.

Band 5, $33,494 per year. USC Sumter

Bachelor’s degree in related field; or equivalency.  This position will serve as the USC Sumter IT Help Desk technician. The responsibilities of this position are to assist in the day-to-day operations of all aspects of Information Technology for USC Sumter. Provide technical services, troubleshoot problems, and aid users. Provide on-site support for Palmetto College two-way video courses. Knowledge of personal computer hardware and network hardware/troubleshooting is required and experience with Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems, Windows Deployment Services, Video Conferencing Equipment desired. Reports to the Director of Information Technology.

Band 5, USC Sumter 

The Admissions Counselor represents the University of South Carolina Sumter as a recruiter and counselor for prospective students and serve as a point-of-contact for the Office of Admissions Services. The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling students from assigned high schools, other venues and associated activities.  Applicants with sales, marketing, and customer relationship management experience are encouraged to apply.  Travel within the state of South Carolina will be expected as needed. Masters degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience. Ability to work evenings & weekends, a valid driver’s license and knowledge of student services in higher education is required.  Background experience in admissions, public relations, sales experience or other student personnel area desired. Preference will be given to those who currently live in the existing geographic market and have knowledge of the local secondary schools.
