Carolina Center on Alzheimer's Disease and Minority Research (CCADMR)

The Resource Centers for Minority Aging Research has released a statement on the killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. The CCADMR joins the national RCMAR network in condemning racism and injustice in all forms and actions.

The mission of the CCADMR is to increase the diversity of the research workforce focused on population health and sociocultural, behavioral, and environmental determinants of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias disparities through sustained infrastructure that will support underrepresented and racial/ethnic minority faculty, such as those from educationally or economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and racial and ethnic minorities.

The CCADMR is a state-wide collaboration, providing research mentorship and education on determinants of ADRD disparities for URM faculty at three South Carolina Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs): Allen University, Claflin University, and South Carolina State University. Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina are also partner institutions.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
