Eligibility to Serve as a Peer Leader +

All 2024 University 101 Peer Leaders who will be students at the University of South Carolina in spring 2025 are eligible to serve in the Peer Leader + role.  

Goals

The goals of extending the U101 Peer Leader role into the spring semester are to increase first-year students': 

• Sense of belonging
• Awareness and utilization of campus resources
• Confidence and preparation as they enter the second year

Requirements

In this role, the Peer Leader + will:

• Conduct 1-1 Meetings during the spring semester with their current U101 students
• Engage with their class through GroupMe or another communication channel
• Host a reunion meal/event (paid for by U101)

Benefits

In addition to the continued impact you will have on your U101 students, peer leaders serving in this role will receive $500 throughout the spring semester.
