Graduate Leader Program

The Graduate Leader Program provides an opportunity for second-year graduate students of the Higher Education and Student Affairs M.Ed. program to learn how to effectively develop and teach a first-year seminar. 

Requirements

  • status as a second-year graduate student in the Master of Higher Education and Student Affairs program
  • attend the Graduate Leader Information Session

 

Workshops and Training

Graduate Leader Training

This one-day training aims to prepare graduate leaders for their role in UNIV 101 through discussion of the community-building process, today’s students and their needs, and active learning strategies. The 2023 Graduate Leader training will take place on Friday, March 24.


Course Planning Workshop

These workshops provide an opportunity for instructors, peer leaders and graduate leaders to share and learn about effective strategies for achieving common course goals and learning outcomes.


EDHE 834

Graduate leaders are required to enroll in EDHE 834 while team-teaching University 101. The course is designed to provide an opportunity for a supervised teaching experience. Grading is on an S/U basis.
