University 101 Scholarship Nomination

The University 101 Scholarship recognizes and rewards undergraduate students who have unmet financial need and who have made major contributions to the learning environment and community within the University 101 classroom and who have incorporated the course’s ideals and values into their academic and co-curricular experiences outside the classroom.

To be considered for the scholarship, students must have a minimum overall 3.25 GPA, be currently enrolled full-time at UofSC, and submit a complete scholarship application.

A maximum of eight recipients will be selected and each awarded a $500 scholarship to be distributed evenly to University of South Carolina tuition and fee payment over the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters ($250.00 applied to each semester). Out-of-state recipients may also receive reduced tuition rates for the 2020-21 academic year.

Letter of Recommendation Guidelines
If you are recieving this letter of recommendation request, your University 101 student is a U101 Scholarship finalist. Please submit the form below and write a supporting letter for your student. Supporting letters should be at least one page in length and typed. Please write about the impact your student had on the learning enviornment and community within your classroom. 

Letters of recommendation must be received by 5:00 p.m. on February 26, 2020.
