Steps to success

  2. Register your project at the beginning of the semester that your grant starts, and re-register every semester you work on the project.

  3. Complete the CITI Responsible Conduct of Research on-line training AND a research ethics workshop from our office (dates will be emailed). Use our How-To Guide [pdf] to access CITI training.

  4. Fulfill compliance requirements for projects involving human or animal subjects and/or research abroad.

  5. Maintain consistent effort toward completing your project during the grant period.

  6. Present your research at one of our USC-sponsored events: Spring Discover USC (preferred), Summer Poster Symposium or Fall USC Connect Showcase.

  7. Submit a one- to two-page research report [pdf] to our office through Blackboard. This report is due one month after completing your project or before graduation, whichever is first.
