Excel-funded research initiatives highlighted in feature article and showcase webpage

The Excel program offers internal funding for faculty research in social science, humanities and liberal arts, lessening the disparity in funding between social sciences and STEM fields. Nine of the inaugural 2022-2023 cohort members have completed projects which have been published and presented in various formats. Read Hannah Cambre's recent article which features three separate Excel grant projects here.

The Office of the Vice President for Research is excited to launch a showcase webpage that will be updated as new Excel projects produce materials. Check out the showcase page now, and prepare for updates!

Become a Reviewer for Internal Funding and Awards Programs

The Office of the Vice President for Research offers a comprehensive slate of internal funding and award programs for faculty, students and postdoctoral scholars. These annual programs provide recognition of outstanding work and unique opportunities for researchers at every level to take on scholarly projects that might be hard to fund through other methods. To keep these programs strong and successful, the Office of the Vice President for Research looks to faculty members throughout the USC System to serve as reviewers on the committees that guide selection of award and/or funding recipients. Interested faculty members are encouraged to sign up to serve on a review committee.
