Isabel Steen is excited to join the College of Social Work as the Assistant Director of Development.  She previously served as the Director of Community Investments at United Way of the Midlands where she led grant writing and grant making activities.  Isabel holds a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee and a master's degree in Social Work with a focus on Violence and Injury Prevention from Washington University in St. Louis.  Isabel is a licensed master social worker, a graduate of Leadership Columbia Class of 2022, a member of the Junior League of Columbia, and the current President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Central SC Chapter.

Isabel is originally from Charlotte, NC.  She is an avid traveler and has travelled to over 20 countries.  Outside of work, you can find Isabel spending time on Lake Keowee with family, reading, and cheering for Gamecock and Carolina Panthers football.
