Camea Cato joined the College of Social Work in 2023. Cato has worked in education for more than a decade and is passionate about academic advising and assisting students as they pursue their educational goals. Prior to joining the College of Social Work, Cato worked as Associate Director for Advisor Training and Operations at Midlands Technical College. She's previously worked at the University of South Carolina in various roles including graduate student services manager, advertising director, first-year and undergraduate academic advisor, and adjunct instructor. 

Cato earned a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina and an M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and spending time with family and friends.
