Andrew Berns wins prestigious award

Andrew Berns has won the Marraro Prize from the American Historical Association and the American Catholic Historical Association

Andrew Berns has won the Marraro Prize from the American Historical Association and the American Catholic Historical Association for his book, The Bible and Natural Philosophy in Renaissance Italy: Jewish and Christian Physicians in Search of Truth (Cambridge UP, 2015).

Book prizes from the AHA -- the pre-eminent professional organization for historians in the United States -- are extremely prestigious. Past Marraro prizewinners include the most respected historians of Italy, and Andrew is here in the very distinguished company of Anthony Grafton, Chris Wickham, John O'Malley, and Paul Grendler, among many others.
