Liuxu Yang
Liuxu Yang earned her master's degree in English Linguistics from Dalian University of Foreign Languages, China, where she cultivated research interests in acoustic phonetics, phonology, and second language acquisition. From 2018 to 2019, she served as an International Chinese Teacher at the Confucius Institute at the University of Brasilia, Brazil, where her passions extended to Chinese Martial Arts, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Daoism.
 
Currently a Ph.D. student in Linguistics at the Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures, Liuxu is under the guidance of Dr. Jiang Liu. She also instructs Chinese at the elementary level. Her research interests include second language phonetic acquisition, psychological linguistics, teaching Chinese as a second language, and Chinese language pedagogy.
