Bio

“Señora Beatriz Rincon-Sanchez de Kellogg” has been teaching Spanish in South Carolina for 15 years at elementary to advanced language levels, as well as Spanish for Business. In 1995, she earned her Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of South Carolina, and after a few years away, teaching in the SC public school system and training and mentoring international language teachers, “Señora Kellogg” returned to her Alma matter, joining the faculty of the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures.

Beatriz was born in Colombia, and earned a B.S. in Economics at Universidad Externado de Colombia. She specialized in International Business, with over 14 years experience, working for the Colombian government and major international organizations, including 6 years as an International Executive with Harsco Track Technologies, in Columbia, SC.

Currently, as an Instructor, Beatriz focuses her teaching and scholarly activities on undergraduate college level Spanish language and Hispanic Culture. In addition to teaching, she is the Director of the Hispanic House on Campus, and the 2014 Director of the Spanish Study Abroad Program in Cadiz, Spain.
