Ms. Hind Ashraf Hosny earned her bachelor’s degree in Alexandria, Egypt in 2020, then
enrolled in a one-year filmmaking program in Jesuit Film School in Alexandria. She
completed her Master of Arts courses in Literature from the University of Alexandria
in 2023.
After finishing her courses, she was accepted into the Fulbright Language Teaching
Assistant program in Kenyon College, Ohio from 2023-2024.
From 2020 till 2023, she taught English as a second language in an elementary
school in Alexandria, Egyptian English Language School (EELS). In addition, she worked
as
an English instructor during the summers of 2021-2023 in the Arab Academy of Science
and
Technology. She was an Arabic teaching assistant in Kenyon College as part of her
Fulbright scholarship. There, she took over cultural activities for Arabic students
and taught
classes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes. She is now a PhD student
in the
Comparative Literature program while working part-time in the USC Foreign Language
Center.
