The Office of the Vice President for Research offers a robust slate of internal programs for researchers at every level throughout the UofSC System, but it cannot do that alone. Keeping research programs vital and successful relies on the participation of faculty members to serve on review committees and mentor student researchers. These faculty members generously give of their time and expertise to ensure that the programs offered by the Office of the Vice President for Research remain strong and effective year after year. Dr. Marj Pena, Associate Professor in our Department, is awarded a 2021 Distinguished Research Service Award for her exceptional commitment to UofSC’s research community through consistent service as a reviewer and committee member for UofSC internal funding and awards programs.
