Library Services
Career Information: Anderson Library subscribes to the Coin Career Library and has purchased Discover
software. These resources help students identify their interests, dislikes, strengths,
or weaknesses and research possible career paths to follow.
Computer Lab: The open computer lab is located on the second floor of the Anderson Library
Copies: A microfilm/microfiche copier as well as a photocopier are available for your use at a cost of ten cents per page. A bill changer also is available.
Early Childhood/Elementary Educational Materials: We subscribe to PLATO Simulated Test System, an online service that helps students prepare for the PRAXIS.
Equipment Use: TVs, VCRs, cassette players, and overhead projectors are available for your use in the Library. Ask for them at the Circulation Desk.
Interlibrary Loan (I.L.L.): USC Sumter faculty, staff, and students can request materials the Library does not own through I.L.L. We will try to obtain the materials for you through the USC System. Requests are made online via I.L.L. Express. If you have any questions, ask at the Circulation Desk for help.
Periodicals: Newspapers, magazines, and journals are available for your use in the Library.
Reserve Request: A book you need may be checked out to someone else, but you can ask that the book be reserved for you. On its return, you will be notified by telephone or email that the Library is holding the book for you.
Study Rooms: We have five private study rooms for your use. Each room will accommodate four to six students. These rooms can be "checked out" for two hours with an option to renew for another two hours if no one is waiting to use the room.
