If you experience a hardware or software issue on campus, please report it to your instructor or the lab monitor as soon as possible.
SMS Terms and Conditions
The University of South Carolina Sumter campus may send text messages using our (VOIP/SMS) to communicate with faculty, staff, and students about event notifications and reminders, feedback surveys, and other important information. Subscribing to this service is not required.
Messaging Costs
Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. When you opt-in
to receive SMS messages, you are responsible for any carrier fees such as data plan
charges, text messaging charges, tolls, out-of-area roaming, and other charges. Messaging
frequency per month may vary. Check with your mobile operator for details on receiving
text messages (SMS).
STOP/Opt-out Information
If you wish to opt-out of text messages, reply STOP to any message received from the
service. You may also send an email to PublicRelations@uscsumter.edu to opt out. Please
make sure to include the number that needs to be opted-out.
Privacy Policy
Your use of the SMS messaging service is governed by the university’s Privacy Policy. USC Sumter will not ask you for, nor should you provide, personally identifiable
information, passwords, or any other confidential or sensitive information in SMS
messages. We do not share any information obtained per SMS with third parties.
All mobile information you share with the university will remain confidential and
will only be used by direct campus representatives. Our campus does not share phone
numbers with external sources. SMS consent is not shared with third parties for marketing
purposes.
