The Office of The Vice President for Research provides resources to support meritorious research and scholarship in all disciplines across the university, including the liberal arts, humanities and social sciences. The Excel Funding Program was founded in 2022 to help faculty in these fields pursue top-quality research, scholarly and creative projects. By providing seed funding to liberal arts, humanities and social sciences faculty, Excel also aims to bolster their competitive edge in applying for subsequent external funding.
This year, the VPR is excited to fund 23 Excel projects by faculty from 17 different departments across the USC Columbia and Palmetto College campuses.
Please join us in congratulating the 2024 Excel funding recipients.
