National Institutes of Health unveils new strategic plan
The new NIH strategic plan for FY2021-2025 outlines the agency’s vision and key priorities for the coming years. The plan is organized around a framework of three key objectives:
- Advancing biomedical and behavioral sciences
- Developing, maintaining and renewing scientific research capacity
- Exemplifying and promoting the highest level of scientific integrity, public accountability and social responsibility in the conduct of science
It incorporates five themes across these objectives, centered around minority health and health disparities, women’s health, public health challenges across the lifespan, collaborative science and data science. Read more about the plan on the NIH extramural NEXUS blog.
