Over the last three years, Dr. Peña has undertaken a remarkable role as a Program Director in the Statistics Program of the Division of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) at the National Science Foundation (NSF), showcasing his commitment to advancing statistical knowledge on a broader scale. Now that he has returned to our department, we eagerly anticipate the wealth of expertise and fresh perspectives he brings, particularly as he takes on the exciting task of teaching a new course on causal inference.
