Statistics is the science of data. Students can use statistics and data science in
all fields, including public health, education, business, medicine, and engineering.
Furthermore, “statistician” and “data scientist” are consistently ranked among the
top jobs for graduates due to their high demand and excellent salaries.
We offer both
undergraduate majors and minors. Our general major is perfect for anyone who wishes to pursue a career in statistics
and our major with emphasis in actuarial mathematics and statistics is designed for students planning
a career as an actuary. Our minor is a good complement to any health, business or marketing major.
In addition to our on-campus
master's and Ph.D. programs, we also offer distance learning options for our Certificate of Applied Statistics and a Masters of Applied Statistics.

to participate in research.
