Warren Milteer’s article "From Indians to Colored People" has won the Historical Society of North Carolina's R.D.W. Connor Award for the outstanding article published in the North Carolina Historical Review in 2016. This is the second time that Warren has won the award, showing the strength of his contributions to the history of North Carolina and the American South.
