Research
Dr. Eilea Knotts is a marine phytoplankton ecologist who studied carbon acquisition strategies as a mechanism for microalgal community structuring processes. Her favorite field station to conduct research is the Baruch Marine Field lab in Georgetown, SC. Currently, Dr. Knotts is focused on cultivating her pedagogy and teaching style. She emphasizes two main principles - creating interest in the subject matter and cultivating a desire to learn.
