Kiesha Wilson and Dr. Bert Ely published a study in 2019 that showed that the giant Cbklike viruses were actually 4 different species. In recognition of that discovery, the International Committee on Virus Taxonomy (ICTV) has decided to name  some of these bacteriophages after Dr. Ely! The Bertelyvirus include Caulobacter virus CcrBL9 and Caulobacter virus CcrSC. What an honor!
