Chuck joined the USC Sumter Staff in September 2006, after previously serving the University as Instructor of Sociology for two years. He holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Tennessee with specialty areas in social and political-economic theory, research methodology, environmental sociology, social psychology, and social movements.
In addition to his administrative duties, Chuck teaches Sociology 101 (Introduction to Sociology), Sociology 311 (Human Ecology), Sociology 340 (Social Problems), and Sociology 354 (Collective Behavior and Social Movements). He is also a member of the Southern Sociological Society, the Society for the Study of Social Problems, and the Southern Association for Institutional Research.
