Dr. Tedrick earned her Bachelor in Arts in Spanish from Armstrong Atlantic State University, her Masters in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Salamanca in Spain, and her Doctor of Education with a concentration on Multiculturalism from Georgia Southern University.

Before coming to USC Sumter, Dr. Tedrick has been on the faculties of Savannah State University, the Benedictine Military School in Savannah, and Oglethorpe Charter Middle School, also in Savannah.  While at Savannah State she served, among other roles, as Coordinator of Foreign Languages Program within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and the founder and director of the university’s Costa Rica Study Abroad program.  Dr. Tedrick has published a number of articles on various topics regarding the study of the Spanish language and the teaching and learning of languages.
