Cataldo is in her 4th year as the Director of Athletics and entering her 13th season as the Head Softball Coach.

Cataldo' s teams continue to improve on the field and their Region X standing in NJCAA Division I softball. The team finished runner-up in 2016 and 2019.

Under her leadership, the Fire Ants have achieved great academic success being recognized by the NJCAA on multiple occasions for achieving Academic All-American Team status. Her players have also achieved individual success in the classroom, having 13 student-athletes recognized as NJCAA Academic All-Americans (3.7 GPA or above after 4 semesters). 

Cataldo is a Sumter native and was a standout softball player at Sumter High School.  Cataldo was recruited by and played softball for USC Upstate in Spartanburg, S.C. under Coach Chris Hawkins. 

Cataldo received her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C. and a Master of Science in College Athletic Administration from Coker College in Hartsville, S.C.  She is currently working toward her Ph.D. in Education Leadership.

Cataldo is also an Adjunct Faculty member. She has taught numerous sections of University 101 and will be teaching various Sports Management courses for the University.
