Bio

I’m originally from Alberta, Canada! My Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are both in Counseling Psychology, and my Doctorate (Ph.D.) is in Sociology. Most of my research has been centered on topics related to social inequalities including the academic persistence of at-risk student groups. I have also contributed to studies on various aspects of non-profit organizations. I enjoy teaching very much, and my favorite teaching experiences thus far have been leading groups of students on short-term study abroad trips to London, Paris and Amsterdam (2017), to Ireland and Northern Ireland (2019) and to Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, and Austria. where I taught the Sociology of Culture each time.
